As the grip of winter is released to make way for spring the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the air is filled with the sounds of lawn mowers, children playing and songs from the many birds who call our back yards home. It is a beautiful time to live in our area, snow still graces the mountain tops while the local fauna begin to wake up and blossom. As we all know winter can be a bit dreary in our region and as such we often find ourselves embracing the arrival of the new season with outstretched arms, and for good reason. The sun’s warmth shines longer, the rain clouds make way for empty blue skies and our lives seem to be re-energized. With the change the farmer’s markets will open, offering fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, youth baseball will start, proudly painting many suvs and minivans with children’s names and jersey numbers, and the infectious aroma of afternoon barbeque’s will be carried throughout our neighborhoods on the gentle easterly breeze. This truly is a magical season and I feel lucky to experience it in such a wonderful place.
